This year’s shortlist for the Arthur C. Clarke Awards has been announced today – with just ne title matched by the BSFA’s 2011 Awards shortlist, China Mieville’s Embassytown:
The six shortlisted books are:
- Greg Bear, Hull Zero Three (Gollancz)
- Drew Magary, The End Specialist (Harper Voyager)
- China Miéville, Embassytown (Macmillan)
- Jane Rogers, The Testament of Jessie Lamb (Sandstone Press)
- Charles Stross, Rule 34 (Orbit)
- Sheri S.Tepper, The Waters Rising (Gollancz)
The winner will be announced on Wednesday May 2nd at an award ceremony held in partnership SCI-FI-LONDON Film Festival. The winner with a cheque for £2012.00 and the award itself, a commemorative engraved bookend.
