About the BSFA

In 1958 a group of leading authors, publishers, booksellers and fans decided that Britain needed an organisation to encourage science fiction in every form.

They set out to create an international forum that would bring together everyone interested in science fiction - and they succeeded. Today the BSFA unites members from Australia and Russia, Europe and the USA, Canada and Argentina.

It is the place to turn if you want to keep in touch with what's happening in SF and in the wider world of fandom.

For just over £ 2 per month you can keep in touch with what's happening in SF and in the wider world of fandom, both in the UK and abroad, and receive 6 magazine mailings per year! Membership also entitles you to join as many orbiter writing workshops as you like.

The BSFA needs your help. Being a member driven organisation, we want to hear what you have to say. Our new website is designed to be more interactive with you the members, so please let us know of upcoming events, news worthy stories or add comments to any of our current stories.
